Before and after Thanksgiving

HOLLAA!!!! lol hey everyone! This week has been full of changes! lol to start off we got a third companion. like i said in my last email her name is Sister Riding and she is from Dallas Texas. she is waiting fir her visa to go to Brazil! but we are enjoying our time together. Working hard and going to bed tired! lol gotta love mission life right! lol Her first night here it was FREEZING and we were walking around in the codl rain/snow! but it was fun!

On friday we got to go the temple! one of our bishops wife took us! it was so fun! I love the blessing of the temple. It was very uplifting and needed! i always feel so good after going. we also stopped by the VC and I gave them all the grand tour. It felt good to be back and i loved doing my thing! lol I also was able to hunt down elder haws and FINALLY see him! lol it was about time! lol loved it! lol

We had to move noahs baptism back a week but its ok cuz we also committed his older brother Donovan to be baptised! lol not on the same day but still! and to make things better their dad came to church! finally! lol it was an exciting day!

Well i must get going! but i love you all! know that im working hard and we are getting stuff done! wont stop untill they make me take the tag off. and even then! lol But know that im freezing out here and gonna get frost bite while your sitting in your warm houses or whatever it might be! lol

FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!

Oh was everyones thanksgivings? full of family and food i hope! lol mine was full of food and great memebers and their families that made us feel like family! lol We started of the day with a NAP!! Lol much needed and fantastic. then we went over to our members home around 1 and  ate around 2. so much FOOD and so much FUN! Sis page is the naem of the lady we ate with and she is so great! gives us rides EVERY monday and is always willing to help! She is one i will alway be greatful for and will keep in touch for sure post mission. After we went to s church buliding and met up with our zone nad just played games for hte rest of hte day. it was so fun! lol What agood last holiday on the mission.

so lately we have been working with this girl nemed Karne who has had a rough life. When we meet she was planning on going in to the military and has a ship date. But recently we have been meeting with her after gaining her trust and going through lessons and what not to help her have a strong testiomny for when she leave. Well last night she shared som BIG news with us. She met with the bishop yesterday and had decided that instead of the military she wants to serve a mission! lol She and I have alot in common as far as struggels go and she looks up to me and says if i can so it so can she! lol made me cry! lol If she can stay strong she will do great things! Another reason i came to Idaho im thinking!

We also set another baptium date this week. His name is Nathen. We had a GREAT lesson with him and the spirit was so STRONG!!! He is planning on jan 18. I hope i can make it back up to see it! We just have a few things to help him with as far and changes go lol but it will be good as long as we can keep him feeling the spirit! pray for us and him please!

TRANSFERS!!!!

WE got Transfer info!!! Im gonna be staying here in Pokey for the last 4 weeks of my mission. We are getting a third companion named sister Riding and she is a visa waiter. So we dont know how long she will be here but it will be good!

This week has been a little rough. But we are working hard and staying busy. We did ALOT of service this week! First we helped the lady who gives us rides every monday clean out her bottom apartment. I had the job of cleaning out the fridge and freezer. It reminded me of all the times as a kid my parents made me do that! lol but i did take some pics of me sitting in the completely clean fridge! lol. then the next day we did service helping clean out and reorganize a garage. IT was so DIRTY!!! lol and had dry deer blood everywhere from hunting season lol. had to take a couple trips to the dump to throw away all the clutter that hey had built up but after it look s REAL GOOD! Then the next day we helped Deb move out of her house to move back up to Rexburg. I was so sad to see her leave but right now thats whats best for her and her kids. It was a last min move and a last min service project but it went well and the elders came and helped. I did something to my arm though and for the last couple days its been getting better. I think i pulled a muscle but its ok now.

So on friday we did a mini Blitz in our area. Another set of sisters and the ZL can and we each took a street for an hour and just knocked doors! it was super fun and we met some really interesting people. lol but we also found 1 new family to teach and 1 new single person to teach! it was great! and i think we are gonna do it again this week. so pray for us and wish us luck!

Thigs for the most part are going great! I ahve coem to more fully understand this week about the power of the atonement. i know I cant fully comprehend it all but littel by little i get more and more of an understanding. I NEED it! you NEEd it! we all NEED it! and need to APPLY it! thats the tricky part though. learning how and remembering to apply it to yourself. Prayer plays a big part of that. I have been trying to really foucus on my prayers this week and its REALLY helped.I would encourage you all to do the same adn see how much more you can FEEL the power of Chirst Atonement in your life. I love you all!

hello all! how are you?! im just gonn ado bullet points of some high lights this week...

*WE met somone who was on Jerry springer

*Had Interviews with president! WEnt really well. It was my last one before my departing interview.

*Getting nervous for transfers

*Found man underwear in the back of our  drawers! lol fromprevious tenents... ewwww!

*sis gale wanted to follow in her trainers foot steps and put a stick on tattoo on her foot! lol its  a pumkin!

so i may or may not have caught a snake!! lol look at me sister lemons crocodile Dundee! lol we took it home for a littel bit to show the elders but then we let it go! lol he was a cute littel garden snake! it was super awesome! people were suprised that i would be the one to catch it! lol little do they know i like snakes. on friday we did service ALL day!! like from 9am to 5pm! we  took off old shigles and put new ones on! it was super fun! lol i got a little sunburnt though! lol we also have been doing some joint teaching in the other elders area who cover the rest of our stake. We are the sisters so if they need sisters they send us!! so on thursday we went a thaugh the elders inv who are gettign bap this saturday and theya re so funny!!! one of them is 12 ans she is a BEAST!! she aske me if we could arm wrestle and of course i said yes! lol well lets just say  we ahd to call a truce! lol she is so STRONG!!! for a 12 years old. give her a year and she will beat me for sure!! it was super fun!! this week we alos set a date!!! lol its about time!!! after over a transfer with working our butts off and nothing we finally got one!! his name is Noah and we could use all the prayers and support we can get so if you could pray for us andfor him to get bap on nov 9 that would be great!!! i g2g.... but i love you all!!!

some thing i have learned this week is that if your not goona be happy with the littel things and blessings in life you wont be happy if He sends you big things either!

SO I think my brain is like super fried! lol I haven't slept well in almost a month and I have been out 15 months! lol I have come to email you all and I don't know what to say! lol im afraid it will be like this the rest of my mission! lol that ok I can tell you all the fine details when I get home right?! lol speaking of home I got my trunky papers this week! AHHHHH!!! inside was my travel info and a bunch of other things that you wont care about! lol but its official I will be home dec 17! lol I expect to see you all at the airport!!! lol then im gonna go home a take a NAP!!! lol then we can go do stuff! lol but lets not get ahead of ourselves here calm down everyone I still got a little over a month! still plenty of time to do some good!

Sis Gale and I have been working hard with Noah trying to get him ready for baptism. He came to church yesterday! He is such a tender! He is 11 but the whole time he was so reverent and mindful of what was going on around him! He is so ready! lol

WE had the opportunity to got to a Poly wedding reception! lol it was so fun! felt like home! lol sis gale was a little taken back but it was great! lol we went with elders Bebee and Malau'ulu!

today we are going up the canyon with some members and other missionaries to look at the fall leaves! im super excited!  so expect a lot of pictures!

Things here and good but hard. Story of everyones mission life right? I have learned that you cant please everyone! no matter how hard you try! lol but that's ok cuz I can only do my best. As long as I try my hardest and have to regrets I know I will have been successful. Hevenly Father will be happy with my efforts. PMG p10! He is so mindful of me and everything im going through. He has sent me so many little tender mercies that I KNOW He is watching over me right now. Things will continue to be hard but I know I can get through.  I keep working hard and plan on leaving with a BANG!! lol

Its REALLY cold now!!! it was snowing!

It was my last halloween on the mission! it was so fun too!  We started off the morning with some zone service that ended with a dance off! lol too funny! and it ended with getting together as a zone and watching movies! we stared it off with a classic... SPACE JAM!!! lol and ended witha new movie at least to me its new Wreck it Ralph. wish was super cute!! lol

so the day after Halloween sis Gale and I were walking around and we walked past this shop that was all CHRISTMAS decorated! What the?! We just had halloween! lol but i must say that I was in  asuper sour mood a few days ago and listened to Christmas music to help cheer me up lol. But you still cant skip holidays!! lol COME ON!

So now that we are in november the month of Thanks sis Gale and i have desicded that whenever we have comp prayer we are only gonna say things we are thankful for! lol its been really interesting to hear me try and remember cuz i get all twisted up! Its fun thorugh to try and find away to ask with out asking! lol like saying "we are grateful for the energy this food will give us" lol but its been good to see all the blessings we have! lol So i would encourage you all to try it!

Hello Everyone

hello everyone!

so sad news of the week i was not able to see elder haws! i was so sad!! i he was sent up north to Ririe and i was not allowed to go see him at transfer site! The zone leaders were there though and talked to him for me and told him how sad i was! They said he looked great and that he was looking for me =( they also took a pic with him!

This week has been pretty good! i was not feeling well for a few days and so whenever i tried to go out the members would send me home! lol so we had a slow week but we do have a new family we are teaching that we are hopping to set a date with this week! the kids name is noah and he is so awesome! we are gonna get him! lol we have been working so hard this past transfer and have not seen to much but we are optimistic about this new transfer and will continue to do our best!

Well thats about it for us! i hope you all took the challenge given at conference to learn and pray for your local missionaries and the people the are teaching by name! I know we really would appreciate all the help we can get!

Hellos All

HELLO all!!! so big news of this week is that we had transfer calls! lol Sis Gale and I are staying together and staying in the same area. Im super excited though cuz Dallin aka elder Haws comes out on Tuesday! im hopping he at least stayes in Pokey if not trained by someone in my zone or District! lol if not im gonna ask pres if I can see him before he gets shipped up north! I HAVE to see him! lol im so excited!!

ALSO i hope you all watched conference! it was so GOOD!! I love that as a missioanry you HAVE to watch all the sessions so you make sure to set aside the time! IT has a whole new meaning to me and it goes by way to fast and before you know it, it OVER!! now we have to wait 6 months! lol but it gave me the spiritual boost that i needed and that all the matters!

So it snowed this week!!! WHAT THE!!! not ok! We were out side doing service too! lol But after sis Gale got sick and we had to stay inside for about 2 days! lol i was getting a bit of cabin fever but it ok cuz she is better now and we can get back to work! Im sarting to get a bit of a cold but i refuse to get sick so pray for me that i wont! and i can keep it to just a soar throat and runny nose! well i love you all! again sorry its a short email!

not sure what happened this week. lol im drawing a HUGE blank! lol. We did get to see the RS broad cast! thats was pretty awesome! We also spoke in sacrament meeting! I ended up having to fill up like 25 min worth of time! lol good thing i like talking right?! other than that our week was pretty normal. tried to visit people and didnt have a whole lot of success. Did service paining a garage and staining a deck all in the cold! so to make up for this awfully short email i will just send pics! lol pictures speak a thousand words anyways right?!

So what has happened this week? So sis gale and I have made this deal to where if either of u s falls asleep in studies we have to take a spoon full of hot sauce! we both fell asleep on day and had to do it! holy cow we were on fire! lol but its good motivation to stay awake!

SO this week we have started to share a car with the zone leaders! They serve closest to us so they have it during the morning then we switch in the afternoon and we have it at night. they dont want us walking around our area especially at night (not hte safest area haha but still fun). Its still their car but we get to use it! lol its been helping. but i have also been getting in better shape from walking those hills! haha so at night the elders will meet at our place and leave their bikes in our apartment and take the car home and its working out smashingly! Last night when they dropped it off I was asked to wax elder bebees eye brows! lol oh my days it was so funny! got some good pics and videos! We also got our hair cut this week by a Less active Lady in our area!  we got a haircut and also got  a lesson in at the same time!! talk about killing two birds with one stone! haha now the BEST part of the week. I found out that Tom and Deb i couple I knew and worked with in Rexburg have moved into my area here in Pocatello!! He is going to school at ISU and they moved to be closer! They are Totes one of my faves and i was so excited to see them and catch up! We had dinner with them last night and it felt like good times in Rexburg! ALso this week Annie went into the MTC!!!! whoot whoot!! she sent me an email about how sht is having a great time! I was a littel worried that she wouldnt like it. She tol dme that there is a sister in ther district named sister Lemon from AZ! lol I told her she cant get rid of me! an that im gonna ALWAYS be watching! lol Im so excited for her! I also got a wedding announcement from my first trainee sis rye who got sick and got sent home! my daughter is getting married before me!! lol a Little backwards but whatevs!

So we have MASSIVE spiders!!! i about dies this morning! I opened up the area book and there was one just chillin!! i flipped and ran! lol then there was a HUGE black one out side our back door! i HATE spiders!!! HELP!

things are looking up!! we had a pretty good week and are starting to have people to teach and we are starting to have people to see during the day. Its great! on lady her name is liz and she is so great! she works at a sushi place and had us come in one day for lunch! I was really not excited for that but it turned out to be REALLY good! dad and britt you would be so proud of me!!!! i ate it and i enjoyed it! lol im moving up in this world.

ON wed we had exchanges and I left sis gale in our area and went with sis Gooss in her area. It was a good day and I learned alot that im excited to try and put into action in our area.

we were asked to do a musical number this past Sunday. it went ok. we didn have much time to prepare but we asked the elders to help us with it and we were able to pull it together. only problem was they wanted it a capella and none of us had heard the song before so it took us forever to figure out how it was suppose to go! lol but in the end it all worked out!

i also hurt my ankle this week! lol it was long over due i hadn't hurt it in a LONG time! it was in front of the elders so that was a little embarrassing but thats the story of my LIFE!! lol its still a little painful now but i just ice it when i can and elevate it too.

over all it was a pretty good week! i cant complain! the only thing bad is that its starting to get cold!!! im not to happy about that! people keep saying "you havebeen here for a winter you should be use to it!" uhhh yeah right!!! lol oh well.
