Walking!!!!

ok so not a whole lot happened this week but i did have some firsts! So our area is HUGE!!! and we dont have alot of miles for our car so to save on miles we decided we would tray and walk some of our area this week. not sure how successful it was but we dont have much of a choice with our limited miles. But yeah it pretty much took us like an hour and a half to see like 6 people cuz they are so far apart! and then we had to walk back to our car (or run). We had some where we needed to be but we were like 2 miles away.. yeah we pretty much ran the whole way back to our car. Man running in the cold is NOT FUN!! speaking of cold its suppose to snow this wed! im hope not but we will see what happens!

We also had interviews with our mission president this week. that was good! took alot of our day up but thats ok it was needed. This man is so awesome! he takes the time to let you know how much he loves us and listens to what we have to say. just a really good man. We also had a ward fall activity this week that we were part of. we helped pretty much put alot of it together. It was fun! we got to know alot of the ward that way and were able to invite alot of the less actives and non members in the area. there was a really good turn out too! had to get out more tables and chairs. It was great!

So during interviews mission president told me/us that we would all be training at some point because of the age change  so to start preparing for it. Our mission capacity has gone from 180 to 250! so we are gonna be getting ton of new missionaries SOON! Sister Keith said she told president that im ready to train! WHAT!?!? haha that scares me!! but Im ready for whatever is thrown my way! Its just cray to think about! I have not been out very long but i could be training really soon! so pray for me that i wont mess up the new missionaries too bad haha.

I still cant believe im on a mission! sometimes i wake up freezing cold and tired and wonder "what the HECK am i doing hear?!" But then something amazing and i get reminded why im here. I have learned that I may not know everything but i know enough to teach by the spirit. There is a Mormon message called I know enough so everyone should look it up! I watch it at the VC when im having a hard day and no one wants to listen to me. in fact watch all of the mormon messages they are so inspiring and you always feel better after watching them. They are great visual lessons for us missionaries =) but anyways I just keep getiing reminded why im out here in the freezing tundra of idaho and i dont want to be anywhere else. Please keep me and my missioanry efforts in your prayers as i keep you in mine.

Well thats all for now! i Love you!!!

FIRE!!!!!

oh man i had like the worst /funniest experience this week it was so bad!!! so on thursday night i think it was we were out contacting people and we had just come from a dinner apt so we were SOOOO stuffed cuz people like to feed you here. So we go to this one man house who we had been trying to contact FOREVER and what does he do??? invites us in to eat!!! and of course we said ok just to get in the door. SO it was bad enough we had to eat again on top of being stuffed but this man makes his own hot sauce for a living (i love spicy food but....)... this food was like eating FIRE!!!! sis keith hates spicy food and was crying i was laughing to try and keep from crying and we could just feel our insides hating us you know? by the time we left we falt like crap both of us. We couldnt even get in the car we had to take a walk. and sis keith threw up and that was the first time i had even been jealous of someones ability to throw up cuz i wish i could have i was in so much pain!!! we could just feel our insides melting!!!  so funny but so not funny at the same time. something i will always remember thats for sure!

So this week has been amazing!!! sis keith and i got so much work done! We have been trying extra hard to be really obedient and the blessing are showing!! We had a baptism this saturday and it went soooo good! i will send pics when i have more time. but not only that we met so many golden people to teach! our goal as a mission and a zone is to baptize monthly per companionship and we are gonna do are best to make that happen. our numbers were sooo good this week they were just as good as the full pros missionaries and we worked at the vc ALOT this week! there are blessings in obedience! not that we were diss obedient but there is always room for improvement right?

Well i dont have alot of time this week cuz we are short on computers and i have to make it to the VC on time tonight. But i love you all and i love hearing from you! oh btw I had to transfer money into my account so i could buy winter stuff today sorry... but i will still need more so if you could please make sure i have sufficient funds that would be FANTASTIC!! yeah and it sooo cold here!!! its like nothing i have ever lived in before! booo!!!

LOVE YOU!!!

HEY!!!

So lets see if I can try and remember all that i want to say in this letter cuz i forgot my notes in the car.

This week was pretty good! on Tuesday we had our last District Meeting before transfers. Super fun but sad at the same time. Just as you satrt to get comfortable with ppl its time to change but thats what you sign up for on a mission. Then on wend we got up and went to a breakfast for all the people leaving in our zone it was good. And then we were at transfer sight for like 3 hours! It was soooo cold a windy!! I sat there with a blanket the whole time! Its so cold here now!! I wore tights for the first time ever!!! that was an experience in and of its self... they feel really... tight! haha But thats gonna be my life while here... a life full of many many layers!! no one ever looks good with layers. Its already below freezing at night and in the 40's during the day =( So we are suppose to have a baptism this week end but like always satan has to get in the way and they are talking about pushing it back. We are gonna do our best to try and keep it on scheduled. She is golden and just hope she can stay on track.
I hope everyone watched conference!!! cuz it was AMAZING!!!! with pres monsons announcement about the missionaries age all of us just sat there with our mouths hanging open! How awesome is that!!! its gonna make me feel super old but thats ok! My mission pres asked me if i was ready to train a youngster haha that made me a little nervous. But another talk i loved was Uchdtorf talk about enjoying the journey. I have found my self thinking about how good it will be to go home and that was like a slap to reality. I need to cherish these times on my mission cuz its gonna be gone before i know it. Also Holland talk brought tears to my eyes for sure. Such a good conference!! I love being a missionary cuz your so in tune with the spirit i think and things just hold a different meaning to you at the time.  So another thing amazing happened this week so like 2 weeks ago this young man came into the TVC who you could tell he had been having a hardtime and i really felt like i needed to talk to him but i had a meeting i HAD to go to and i didnt get the opportunity =( i was super sad... but then on friday he came in a gain and i got the talk to him for like an hour! it was so good!!! and he has compleatly done a 180 from the last time he came in and is doing great now. ITs just great to see that the Lord is mindful and knew i really wanted to talk to this guy and provided a way for that to happen. miracles happen everyday! I also had my first successful over the phone teaching lesson! This kid is from AZ and was totally open and willing to hear and learn more! I cant wait til our next lesson in a couple days! I love teaching! even though more offten then not i totally trip over my words but he hs provided a way for the people i teach to have the guift of tongues to understand what it is im trying to say haha. Like i have said before... i have never been so awkward in my life! Im normally really good at talking to people and putting my thoughts together but i have found being out here i get flustered and tongue tided alot but its ok its getting better.

Well im about out of time and thats all i can remember i wanted to tell you...but know i love you!!! mail makes everything better!!! and keep my freezing behind in your prayers!

TRANSFERS!!!

So I experienced my first transfer call! holy cow that was super intense! But im staying with sister keith and in our same area so thats nice... but our zone and district pretty much got ripped apart =( thats ok though... getting use to things changing ALL THE TIME! So let me tell you about something that happened last pday! so we as a zone got together for a bbq and to play games. Well the elders wanted to play foot ball so sister keith and i sat and watched... well there was this one elder (who really annoys me) but he decided to go and start tackling people. not cool. One elder got thrown into a fence! We told himt o knock it off but he didnt so the next elder he went to tackle dodged him and then threw him on the grown. The tackling elder didnt like that and then we trying to fight him..long story short game was over. The funny part was that after that all the elders came up to sister keith and i and kept apologizing. super cute. Boys are dumb but the tackling elder deserved it. in my opinion.
i can never remember all that i i want to say when it comes time to email and then i remember during the week! boooo...Oh btw loved the picture book!!!! all the other missionaries are jealous cuz they dont have one haha.
oh so pretty much everyone and their dog knows i have a tattoo! meaning all the missionaries! nothing stays a secret here thats for sure. I have no idea how everyone found out but its ok... as long as the people i teach dont know about it im ok=) So funny thing! last night at the TVC there was a spanish fireside and the elder in charge asekd me to lead the music (bad idea). I looked like a goob standing up there leading music not singing cuz i dont know SPANISH!!! i kept telling him not to do that to me but he would not listen! all the other missionaries just sat and laughed at me the whole time! not cool
OHHHHH!!!! so on yesterday i gave this family a tour of the exhibit we have right now at the TVC and i was talking about the nauvoo (sp?) temple and about how they had to rebuild it and the man that i was talking with helped in carving the limestone for that temple and he said he had some extra pieces of limestone that was used and that we would bring me a piece! super exciting!!!  so i will be sending that home to keep safe.
so remember how i said in an email when i was in th MTC about "painting the barn" lesson? ok well they saved it for when we are in the mission field... every week we have a TVC training and the one this week was about apperance and how we present ourselves. CRAZY!! I knew it was coming sooner or later.
ok well words of wisdom i have learned this week...planters are just as important as the harvesters. Its hard working at the TVC beasure most of the time you dont really get to see what becomes of someone you teach but i have learned that planting seeds is important too! Im johnny apple seed! and numbers dont matter... dont be a number/stat junkie! HF works in ways we dont understand as along as im doing the part that he has set asaid for me to do that all that matters.. missions are not made by numbers and success.
Well i love you all! sorry this letter is lame.. i'll start writing down what i want/need to write about =)... oh and WRITE ME!!! loves you all!
