SO this week we did TONS of service! holy cow it was awesome
though! The fist service project we did was Helping some one move. our whole
district went over after district meeting on Tuesday and helped. THey fed us
pizza in return for the help haha. then on wed we helped someone move again!
THe ZL invited us to help them but of course the boys got to do all the heavy
lifting and us sisters got stuck in the kitchen packing things. Elders thought
it was hilarious and kept making women jokes like asking us to make them a
sandwich or things like that. I just then threw thing at them.. like rolls of
tape and thing like that.. haha over all it was fun. Then right after that we
went to another service project with the spanish elders helping one of their
less actives in her yard. Clearing it our and hauling it to the dump spot. Lots
of heavy brick and thorny bushes! lol then on thursday we went and worked in a
NM garden in our area... His wife is a member and all his kids but he is not.
He fell off a ladder and broke his ankle so we took advantage of the
opportunity to do some service for him. He was really nice and we hope that but
continuing to help him it will soften his heart little by little. I have
started to get more of my tan back from all this service which is NICE!! I have
a sick tan line on my foot from my tape haha its pretty funny looking. Speaking
of which it is super hot over here! its pretty unusual for it to get this hot.
HAha it was in the 100s yesterday! not to fun to walk around. SO this past week
my camera has been broken (hoping to get it fixed today) so i dont really have
any pics to send you but next week I hope.
But i just want to let you know that service can do wonders.
I have seen that this week. I didnt know most of the people we were doing it
for but I could see that they were so grateful. and that makes it all
worth it in the end. SO find ways to serve those around you. little things that
normally you wouldn't even think twice about. It will bless your life I can
promise you that. Go good deed goes unnoticed! Love you all!

thursday was so AWESOME!!!! let me tell you ALL about it! So
thursday was an all day Pday because of the 4 of July. Let me just telly you
this town goes CRAZY on the 4 of July! its a big deal hear. So it started with
us and a few other missionaries from our zone being in the parade. So we all
met up at the start at 730 to prep and help set things up and then at 9 it
started! so we walked/rode and threw candy at people. Everyone was there!
people from my old areas. people from my area now. it was so awesome to see
everyone. Then the best surprise ever was I saw Preston Haws!!! WE both freaked
out and he ran to the float and walked with us for a little bit so we could
talk! I dont know if he lives here on not but I hope so! Pret if you read this
come see me at the Visitor Center! WE was exciting cuz his brother Dallin got
called to this same mission! Im so excited to see and serve with dallin! They
cant keep us eagar family out of idaho they just cant get enough of us! either
that or we keep doing something wrong haha jk. SO after the parade we went to
like 3 BBQ people had invited us to. so that was fun. After that we took a
small break and wrote letters, emailed, and took a quick nap. then at 7
we went to the river by the temple where the roads we closed off and people were
set u p everywhere for the fireworks. there were booths selling things, food,
concerts! thousands of people were there! The show here is the biggest
fireworks show west of ht Mississippi so everyone comes here! we met people
from all over the west coast and then some! so we got there at 7 like i said
and us and another set of sisters walked all the way around the river till
about 9 meeting and talking to everyone! there were tons of missionaries there
too lol. so the fireworks show was suppose to start around 930 so we all
somehow met up with a bunch of missionaries to watch and we waited and waited
and waited some more and they didnt start. so finally around 1030 we were all
wondering whats going on cuz we had to be home by 11 and we found out that 3 people
had decided to try and swim in the river (not a good idea its on of the
strongest rivers in america) and could not be found and it was dark by now.
When we heard this all us missionaries gathered together and among all the
party people and music and noise and what not we said a prayer for those lost
in the river. It was such a great experience to see and feel that even among
the craziness around us we were about the bring the spirit and offer a prayer
on behalf of those in trouble. The fire works finally started around 11 but we
had to leave to go home so we just got to hear them. Its ok though it was still
a great day and fun night! We did find out the next morning that 2 of the 3 in
the river were found at 10 or so and were ok. the 3 he was not found till 130
but had not made it. We had drowned =( Life is so fragile and hearing about
that made me really look to see if im living the way i need to be living cuz it
can be gone in an instant. do not procrastinate the day of your repentance. I
love you all and hope your independence day was great! always remember that we
are in the promised land and that everything we have is from God!
