SCARY!!!

Ok so lets get my funny/scary story out of the way! SO The member family we live with have been out of town for the past 4 weeks and  it has been really nice to have the whole house to ourselves! but anyways so Sat night we go to bed and at 3 am i wake up the sound of footsteps coming from the upstairs and all the lights in the house on! i quickly wake up sis Rod and she right away knew something was wrong! so we shut our door (that does NOT lock! stupid!) and debate on what to do! call the zl? the dl? well we finally decided to call 911.  So im on the phone with the 911 operator and trying to answer all of her meaningless questions. all the while the people in the house keep walking around and even come down stairs where we are! and she keeps asking questions!! and I tell her to STOP talking cuz the phone is super loud and they will hear her!! lol so she asks who I am and of course i say "Im sister Lemons missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints! and we have a message for you!" and then she askes is anyone in the rom with you and I kind of siad in a duh you should know this kind of voice "Yeah! my COMPANION!" haha WEll she eventually sends the police and they come and knock on the door and 30 sec later we hear "Sis Lemons it the Paces!" (the home owners!!!) So i quickly tell the 911 lady and hang up on her and open the door and there they are!! i started to cry out of pure relief that everything was ok! They had decided to come home from their trip a few days early but didnt let us know! oh man I have never been so scared in my LIFE!!!! They felt so bad... and then when they saw i had a new comp they felt even worse! lol but we felt bad for calling the cops on them! lol all we could say was "welcome home!! sorry we called the cops on you!" They told us when they open the door to the police they knew what was going on and the police said "you should probably let them (meaning us) know you are home cuz they are REALLY freaked out!" Its a funny story now but during it not so funny!! haha Its crazy though during all of it we were so scared but at the same time we knew that we were gonna be ok and that all would be well in the end! Heavenly Father played a roll in that but it was  a crazy mix of emotions going on at one time! This is a story I know I will NEVER live down! lol but it makes for good memories! Everyone in the mission will soon know as well im sure! After that we were so pumped from the adrenalin rush that we could NOT fall back asleep! lol so at church the next morining we were zombies!

Ok moving on to the normal stuff! lol so this week we had interviews with president and they were really good! I loev meeting with Him and Sister Brinkerhoff! its always uplifting! We after that did service with the Zone Leaders. This weekend there was an art show thing going on on the green belt and some people asked if we would help them set up their tent and art display! It was really fun and they took us out to eat after! Then later that evening we had a Baptism! I think I have told you all of her before her name is Alexis and she is 9 and it was so well! Best part is I didnt have to sing this time!! I have loved working with her and her family! Saturday morning we did more service! There was a 5k,10k, marathon going on and we went and helped guide people where to go and hand out water! it was pretty fun even though it was cold and i forgot a jacket! Best part was i got wear jeans! I love service for that reason! that and the fact we get to help people! lol

This week I also had my YEAR MARK!!! i haev been on my mission for a WHOLE YEAR!!! crazy!! so for my year I burned a skirt! it was pretty awesome!

Also this week I got a suprise visit from an ex missionary who served in Eagar AZ. And he came bearing gifts! lol it was such a nice suprise! We had a good time talking about the CRAZY Eagar family and how uch we love and miss them!

I have had such a GREAT week!!!! SO this week started off with a really good pday! all 4 of the zones in IF got together for games and sports! But when I got there they all gathered together and sang happy birthday to me! it was so awesome! Later we were playing gator Ball and i got my middle and my ring finger super jammed (that part was not so fun) but all together it was a pretty good birthday! I made a list of 23 things to do while 23! so we will see if im able to accomplish them all. On wed we had transfers and I got my brand new comp from the MTC. Her name is ister Rodriguez and she is from... Mesa Arizona. And she went to... Mountain View High School! crazy right!! lol we didnt know each other al all in fact i was out of High school before she was even in high school. but it is just funny to see peoples reactions when we tell them that and then that we never even heard of each other. they dont realize how HUGE mesa is lol. But she is so great!! we get along really well and we are already doing great things in our area together! she just has a desire to learn and wants to do it right. on thing that happened just on her second day was that we went to a lesson where we met the guy for the first time and in that lesson the spirit was so strong! and we committed him to be baptised!!! i was so excited that she was able to experience that right off the bat so she could have something to be excited for and to see right away that missionary work is awesome!

We aslo had the opportunity to go up to rexburg and see one the girl i taught get baptised!! i was so happy that i was able to go see it and to give her a hug! The later that day we saw a couple in our area get sealed in the temple! it was a great day to see people making covenants with Heavenly Father and to see Him bless their lives! This stuff NEVER gets old!

We were also able to do some service for a lady paining her house! it was super fun working with her and the elders to help her out! She also feed us tacos after! She has a taco truck that has runs and is a really good cook! so it was great!!!

So sister Rodriguez and i have some goals that we are starting to work on like... learn spanish, be journal writers, sister rodriquez is gonna try and teach me the piano (good luck!) but we are just so excited to try! lol I love her and we have so much fun! THe other night was so crazy! she had not shaved her armpits like like forever and she let me wax them!! lol she didnt realize that i LOVE doing that to people (inflict pain) lets just say that the night was full of her screaming and me laughing! we are a great pair! This is the first time I have really been myself in a few weeks! love it and I feel like me again! I love how the Lord knows exactly what we need and will give it to us WHEN we need it! I am truly blessed!

BAPTISM!!

 We had a baptism this saturday!! it was so awesome! I think I have told you about her before but if not her name is Ahcera and she is 9! Just the cutest girl you ever met in your life and she is like a sponge! just soking up EVERYTHING we teach her! So smart and she totally is ready to be a member! The baptism went so smoothly! With almost every other baptism I have had everything that could go wrong went wrong and this one went off without a hitch! Sister Creek adn I sang a musical number and my voice didnt crack once! lol. It was so great! and then she got confirmed yesterday and you could just see the glow on her face. it was a sight to see!

So this thursday was transfer calls!!! you will never guess whats happening! sister creek adn I are breaking up!! We are BOTH training! That does not happen like ever! Training is a 12 week program so your with your trainer for 12 weeks or 2 transfers but sis creek is ready after 6! lol so she is going to white wash a new area and train! and Im getting a new sister as well!! i mom x3 and a grandma!! im so proud of my posterity! lol Im also excited to see what this new transfer brings! its gonna be AWESOME!!!

I also had the opportunity to see autumn! my very first baptism and have dinner with her and he mom and grandpa (her grandpa lives in my area now) it was such a tender mercie to see them! love them!

Sis morales birthday was on the 11 so she came up to the vc and we had a little birthday face smashing!!! haha

So some Gospel insight that has really hit home this week. IDK if i have said this before but if i have oh well... But what I have really come to understand is that my testimony, my relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and everything else related to that is PERSONAL!! and not only that but its MY RESPONSIBILITY! It not up tp anyone else and I can rely on anyone else to give me those things. If I want them i have to work for them! and you know me i love being independent! lol its perfect for me! lol Thats something that I haev been stressing really hard with those that I teach in my area and in the VC. Its so important that we realize that. Well this is my short letter to you all! I hope you have a great week! LOVE YOU!!
