Ok so today is friday and we got anohter pday because VC sisters are awesome! lol so let me tell you a little about my week (or past few days) I had a really good day on tues! we went up to temple square and got a little tour just to see and feel what its like to get them so we can know how to give them. than later that night we went in for our first course on online chatting with ppl on mormon.org. Its there we found out that VC sister actually have 3 areas we have to cover. so we have the visitor center, our proceliding(sp) area, and the online chat where ppl go to ask questions about the church and we cover all three everyday! And just so you know the online area just bacame the higest baptising mission beating out SLC like 5 weeks ago so im gonna be apart if that! The lord must have alot of trust in me to trust me with 3 areas all at one time so no pressure! I also found out how they call sisters to go to the vc and its pretty amazing! So i thought they just called us like everyone else but what they do is while htey are going throught he pile of missionaries and are giving callings they pull out and make a seperate pile of the sisters that they feel they can see our testimony and countinance just by looking at our pic. then after they have finished giving the rest of the ppl callings they pull out the vc pile and a list of all the vc and then assign them to a vc.... idk that and it makes me feel really good to kow that. there was a quote a presidency said that with vc sisters that you can just see their tistimony by looking at them(but im not saying htat the other sisters dont have amazingingly strong testimonys as well) and thats why they go to vc because at a vc you dont have a lot of time to teach and vc sisters dont have to say a whole lot to make a big impact. i hope i can make that statement true. I also found out that we are the only ones with the autority to teach at the temples and vc. There was a story told where pres Holland went to a vc and asked for a tour and the sister was so nervous to do that cuz it was a freakin general authority (i would be pooping my pants) and so she asked him if he wanted to give the tour cuz he knew som much more than she did. he then pulled her aside and asked her "What authority to i have to teach here?" CRAZY!!!! I have been givin this power and authority to teach ppl at a vc! lets just say i was super pumped to go start serving after that day!
so as at least mom and dad know i have another eye infection! i woke up yesterday with blood shot red eyes! i didnt want to go to the doctor but i knew that i needed to pray so i went into the prayer wanting to pray it away (that didnt work) so then my next prayer was to ask if i needed to go to the doctor and i was gonna say something like "if they are not better by like noon then i will go" but then i got like 2 words in to asking and i just started to cry knowing that i needed to go then. and good thing i did cuz the doctor said that if i hadnt i could have started growing cysts or something on my cornea! but we got it early and i just have some eye drops i have to use for like a week. So i spent like most of yesterday in a doctors office and going to the eye doctor off campus and then going and getting my perscription filled but thats ok cuz it needed to be done.
Pretty soon i will be out in the mission field and i cant wait. Im a little sad to say goodbye to all the friends i have made here but i know that we will all meet again at some point =) Soon people will have to start writing me real letters and not dear elder so everyone better use it while they can (mom can you text amy and tell her to write me back!) again i love getting mail so please write me i need it! So i love you all and i cant wait to read everyones letters cuz i know you will all write me soon =) ok so mom and dad i my flight is tuesday at 11 so i will be calling at the airportprobably sometime between you 8 and 10 can you please dear elder me dads call phone number. i cant wait to talk to you both so be ready! and answer you phones!!!
